Father God. On this day, we bring before you all who are Fathers, by blood or through love. We thank you for their dedication, for the way they shape our lives. We forgive their mistakes borne out of their own humanity, and we ask that you will bless all Father child relationships with a renewed sense of strength and well being today.
Father God. On this day, we bring before you all who we Father, by blood or through love. We thank you for the joy Fathering brings us, the pleasure we gain from seeing young ones grow. We ask forgiveness when we let our own struggles impact on our children, and we ask that you will bless us with the knowledge that being good enough is all we need to be, for you cover the rest.
Father God. On this day, we bring before you all for whom Fathers, Fathering and Fathers Day come with pain. Those who have lost Fathers, or wish they’d had different ones. Those who have been unable to Father, or who have lost their children through death or life’s trials. For those who are desperate to see their Fathers, and those who just wish it was tomorrow already. Peace be with us all.
Thank you for being our Father God. Not just our God, a spirit, a person, a name. But a true and loving father to us all.
